- In its ownership, Lone Canary brings together three people
with a long history in, and enthusiasm for, the Washington
wine industry: Mike Scott, longtime Washington winemaker, and Steve and Jeanne Schaub, local vineyardists and
wine enthusiasts.

Lone Canary is dedicated to the production of high-quality, elegant wines that express what is delicious and distinctive about our state’s fruit. We source our fruit from some of the finest vineyards in the Yakima and Columbia Valleys: the DuBrul Vineyard, Willard Family Vineyard and Milbrandt Vineyards and aim to produce wines that combine the wonderful expressiveness of Washington State grapes with the depth and elegance of wines made in an Old World style. Because of this, Lone Canary offers five red varietals: two Italian, three French, reflective of different regional styles, as well as limited production specialties.
- 2006 Barbera: 100% Barbera, styled after the rustic wines of Northern Italy
- NV Bird House Red: Our house blend of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sangiovese
- 2004 Sangiovese: A Super Tuscan style Sangiovese with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon for depth and plushness
- 2004 Merlot: The most blended in style, this Merlot offers New World power with Old World grace
- 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon: A Bordeaux styled Cabernet Sauvignon, with some Merlot and Cabernet Franc for complexity
- 2004 DuBrul Vineyard Reserve: A fine expression of a very fine vineyard, 62% Merlot and 38% Cabernet Sauvignon
- 2003 Proprietors’ Reserve: Our Meritage blend shows the serious side of Yakima Valley fruit
- 2006 Sauvignon Blanc: Of course, no Mike Scott wine collection would be complete without his signature Sauvignon Blanc, Lone Canary’s only white varietal.
